Last week, one of my favorite Scrabble opponents ended the game by going out (using all of her remaining tiles) with a bingo on a triple word score!
The word was "adulated," and with that she won the game handily. I can't wait to play with her again.
More than just a board game, Scrabble is a battle of wits, vocabulary and strategy. Players take turns forming words, using letter tiles to connect and build upon existing words. It's a blend of competition and creativity.
You're challenged to think of words and plan ahead, so it's great for kids as well as adults.
But even your best laid plans can be foiled by a worthy opponent. This is what makes it so much fun and keeps you in the game.
Placing letters on bonus squares, like double and triple letter or word scores, can rack up some big points. Recording your score after a making a "triple, triple" is a scrabble lover's delight.
Endlessly engaging, Scrabble is both fun and socially satisfying. Anyone can enjoy it!
